Two-factor authentication (2FA) for your RenderStreet account

Two-factor authentication (2FA) for your RenderStreet account

In order to add an extra layer of security to your RenderStreet account, two-factor authentication (2FA) is required for logging in. There are two authentication methods you can choose from, email confirmation or using an authenticator app. Only one authentication method can be active at a given time. Changing the authentication method can be done from the profile page in your RenderStreet account. By default, email authentication is enabled for all accounts.

Email confirmation:

Email confirmation is the default authentication method for all RenderStreet accounts. After entering your correct username and password on the https://render.st website, our platform will send an email to your registered email address, with a 6 digit confirmation code. The login form from our website will display a field where you need to enter the code you received. After completing this step, the login process will be completed and you will be redirected to your RenderStreet control panel. The code received on email is valid for 10 minutes.

Info
Note: please allow for a few moments for the email to arrive to your inbox. Do not retry the login process immediately after the first attempt, as this will generate a new code and invalidate the first one.

Authenticator application:

An authenticator app (such as Authy, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) can be used as an alternative authentication method. In order to activate this method, please follow these steps:
1. Install one of the above apps on your mobile phone/tablet (or another app with similar functionality).
2. Once the application has been installed, go to the profile page in your RenderStreet account and select the 'Generate login code via Authenticator app on your phone' radio button. The page will update to show a QR code

3. Open the authenticator app and click 'Add' or 'New entry'. If the application offers more ways to add a new entry, select the one that works by scanning a QR code
4. When the authenticator app opens the camera, point it to the QR code in your RenderStreet account
Info
Note: if you wish to grant access to your RenderStreet account to other persons, they need to do the same steps and scan the same QR code in this step. You can print-screen or share the screen with them, for this purpose. Once all the people who need access have scanned the code, check that the 6-digit code shown by each app is the same one.
5. The application will display a 6-digit code. Enter the code in the corresponding fields in the RenderStreet page

6. Click 'Submit and Save'
7. The page will update and will show a confirmation message. After this step, you can log in using the authenticator app. You're all set!

FAQ:

1. Can I turn 2FA off?

At this time, 2FA is mandatory for all RenderStreet accounts. We consider this a necessity caused by the current state of the online landscape, in the interest of keeping all our users' information secure.

2. Can I change the authentication method?

Of course, you can switch between the 2FA methods available in your account at any time. Please note that, if you have app-based authentication enabled and you switch to email-based authentication, all apps/devices that were registered to be used as authenticators on your account will be disconnected. If, at a later time, you wish to re-enable app-based authentication, you will need to go through the process of pairing the app again.

3. What can I do if I lost my authenticator app/device?

In this event, please get in touch with our support and we'll help.
